Early Ford V8 Restoration and Rally Preparation including 5 Speed Manual Conversion (Tremec). Flathead V8

The customer has used Belcher Engineering in the past for extensive restoration of his 1936 Ford Cabriolet (Ford Flathead V8).  However to become more competitive on the vintage rally stage a project to upgrade the early Ford to open drive and a 5 Speed Manual (Tremec) conversion was undertaken.
New tremec 5 speed gearbox, with open drive conversion installed
suspension changed to fit
once chassis altered, its off to be powder coated
black powder coating looking smart
engine re-installed
brakes refreshed
cork on the chassis to support the body
body ready to go back on the chassis
body refitted
new transmission tunnel fabricated and new seat frames made to support bucket seats
seats being fitted
Wings fitted
seats and rally gear installed
